The Kingston Area Minor Hockey Association (KAMHA) is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Rick Finn, a beloved supporter, coach, and referee whose dedication touched many lives in our hockey community. Rick’s unwavering passion for the game and his genuine love for those around him left a lasting legacy that will never be forgotten.
Rick was a proud father of three boys and a devoted husband, embodying quiet strength and loyalty. As a decorated war veteran, he carried his sense of duty and integrity into every aspect of his life, inspiring others through his actions. His support for his sons and his active involvement in hockey made him a familiar and cherished presence on and off the ice. His kindness, mentorship, and commitment fostered a sense of camaraderie and family within our community.
Beyond hockey, Rick was a man of deep character, whose humble spirit and unwavering support touched everyone he met. His influence extended beyond the rink, exemplifying what it means to serve, lead, and love unconditionally.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Kathy and their three boys during this difficult time. Our thoughts and support are with you all as you navigate this profound loss. Rick’s legacy will continue through the memories he created and the lives he touched.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held on May 8th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Garrison Golf Club in Kingston. We invite friends, family, and community members to join us in sharing stories, honoring his life, and remembering the incredible person he was. Rest in peace, Rick—you will forever be in our hearts.
