Neath Wales Accident:  A tragic multi-vehicle crash in the Hunter Valley region has resulted in the death of a motorcycle rider, prompting an ongoing police investigation.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Cessnock Road and Kemp Street in Neath, east of Cessnock, at approximately 6:25 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, following reports of a serious collision involving three vehicles.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that a red Nissan utility, a silver Ford utility, and a Triumph motorcycle had collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 50-year-old woman, sustained severe leg injuries in the crash.

NSW Ambulance paramedics provided urgent treatment at the scene before transporting her to John Hunter Hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, police were notified around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, that the woman had succumbed to her injuries.

The drivers of the two utility vehicles, aged 21 and 57, were not physically injured. Both were taken to Cessnock Hospital for mandatory testing as part of standard procedure.

NSW Police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
